Overluking is a small outfit for people who would rather be outside than almost anywhere else. Here is what we do and why.
The short version
Overluking started with a habit: driving until the road ran out, then walking a little further to see what was around the next ridge. Somewhere along the way, that habit turned into a name for the moment you stop climbing and start looking.
It is the pullout at first light. The ridge after the switchbacks. The quiet minute before anyone says a word.
What we cover
We write about the trails, gear, and trips that get you to those moments, and we keep it simple enough to start this weekend. That means beginner-friendly trail guides, honest gear picks, and a handful of trips worth the drive.
How we pick gear
We do not test every product ourselves. Instead, we read what owners, testers, and long-term reviewers report, and we describe what a piece of gear is actually good for. When we recommend something, we say why. When a product is not worth it, we say that too.
