The short version: we try to collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data. If you want something removed, email us and we will do it.

OVERLUKING ("we", "us", "our") operates this website at overluking.com. You can reach us at hello@overluking.com.

2. What we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

• Newsletter signup. When you subscribe to The Weekly View, we collect the email address you provide, along with the date and time you signed up. We use this to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Analytics. If we use an analytics service (such as Google Analytics or Plausible), it records things like which pages you visit, how long you stay, what device and browser you use, and roughly where in the world you are. This is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Cookies. Cookies are small files websites store on your device. We use them for basic site function and for analytics. Affiliate partners may also set their own cookies when you click their links.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

• Send you the newsletter you asked for.
• Understand which pages are useful and which are not.
• Keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to run the site (see the next section).

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. These may include:

• An email marketing provider (for example Buttondown, ConvertKit, or Mailchimp) to send the newsletter.
• An analytics provider (for example Google Analytics or Plausible) to measure traffic.
• Affiliate networks and retailers (for example Amazon Associates or similar) when you click a product link, so they can credit the purchase to us.
• Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) to serve the site.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time.
• Object to analytics tracking (usually through your browser or an ad blocker).

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
